The Cameroon international has moved for an undisclosed fee and could make his debut in Wednesday's home match with Manchester United.
The 24 year-old signed for Reading in April 2007 after initially joining on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow.
The Royals paid in excess of £1m for his services and he has impressed in a central defensive role, whilst also featuring in midfield occasionally, as he made over 70 appearances for the Berkshire outfit.
A powerful defender, Bikey played for Cameroon in the summer 2008 Olympics in Beijing, having lined up in the African Cup of Nations earlier in the year.
Bikey started his professional career at Espanyol in Spain when he was 15 where he failed to make the grade and left without making a first team appearance. He then moved to Shinnik Yaroslavl in Russia, where he caught the eye of Lokomotiv Moscow, for whom he signed on 1st July 2005
Because of a technicality Bikey's four-match ban, served due to his sending-off in the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final at Turf Moor, will be completed on Tuesday evening when the Royals visit Swansea City.
