Bolton Wanderers's Kevin Davies has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2012.
Davies has been in talks with the Trotters for some time regarding a new deal after enjoying his best season to date for the club last term.
He was linked with a move to local rivals Blackburn Rovers earlier in the summer, but has now pledged his future to Bolton.
Trotters manager Gary Megson, who has seen Matt Taylor and Gary Cahill also sign new deals in recent weeks, is delighted Davies is staying at the Reebok Stadium.
"I am really pleased that we could add another year to Kevin's contract," Megson told the club's official website.
"He has been absolutely 100 per cent since I arrived. He is a great leader on and off the pitch - a modern-day professional footballer setting a great example and he is fully committed to Bolton Wanderers."
Davies joined Bolton on a free transfer from Southampton in 2003 and he has scored 51 goals in almost 250 appearances for the club.
