Chelsea put the pressure back on Manchester United with a 7-0 demolition of Stoke at Stamford Bridge.
A hat-trick from Ivorian striker Kalou, a brace from Frank Lampard, including a penalty, and late goals from substitute Daniel Sturridge and Florent Malouda maintained their dream of winning a League and FA Cup double this season.
Stoke were rocked by the loss of goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen who was stretchered off with a suspected fractured elbow as he attempted to prevent Kalou scoring Chelsea's second. He is now set to miss out on this summer's World Cup finals with Denmark.
